Sarah Palin Visits Southern California!

by Freedom Fan, Citizen Journalist, Dateline: Carson California, October 4, 2008

Sarah Palin spoke to an overflow crowd of about 30,000 Southern Californian supporters (per the Fire Marshall). Unfortunately, the smaller of the two venues only held 15,000.

Classy actor, Jon Voight, was there to support Palin. But somewhat surprisingly, Palin was introduced by Shelly Mandell, National Organization for Women chairperson, (N.O.W., Southern California chapter), a Democrat who declared Palin to be a feminist.

Palin supporters braved the drizzle and the assaults by air and bullhorn from lunatic Liberals.

When I heard the event was at the Home Depot Center, I expected to see some of the guys who helped me build my garage. However the event was held at a large sports arena sponsored by Home Depot.

In the previous post by Volt we learn that leftist radicals Cloward and Piven designed the role of Community Organizer to organize the dregs of humanity in order to maximize their government handouts, identify new beneficiaries and create new benefits, and ultimately force the overly stressed "social safety net" to collapse, leading to a socialist totalitarian state. So would Jesus really be cool with that, lady?

This reminded me of the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz ... "Go Home Dorothy!". Actually this was some rich, dishonest Liberal attempting to use the name "Sarah Palin" to somehow discredit California Prop 4, "Sarah's Law", which would require parental notification 48 hours prior to performing an abortion on a minor. However, the "Sarah" in Sarah's Law was a little girl in Texas who died on the abortion table. But her parents were eventually notified ... to come pick up their daughter's body.

Spend a moment to savor the full moonbat irony. On the left you have a Leftist bigot with a sign: "Christianity= Paganism= Heathens= Nazis Burn In Hell". Below that you have another Leftist whacko with a sign "Power to the Peaceful". Then you have the Leftist whackos all upset about how Alaskans cull wolf packs, while the abortion zealots circle overhead with a Palin mischaracterization.

"Jesse Jackson" appeared at the event and threatened to "cut off the balls" off all McCain-Palin (Bush III) supporters. This fan was not too concerned, since she does not have any balls, but I'd allow that her gonads are substantially bigger than his.

This Anti-Palin Polar Bear apparently "Votes With Her Brain Not Her Vagina", although we have no actual evidence of either. (Photo Courtesy of Ringo the Gringo at LGF)

So does "he".

Oh yes, back to Sarah Palin. I love this woman. She said "Our opponent ... is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country. This is not a man who sees America as you and I see America."

Douglass K. Daniel, a Liberal Associated Press "reporter" later characterized her statement as "racist" because obviously, all terrorists are "dark-skinned", even though Ayers is "white" ... Confusing isnt' it? Well it's an unbiased MSM "journalist" thing -- you wouldn't understand.

Unfortunately, I fear that we shall soon see Obama's vision for America quite clearly; it will be a chimera unlike anything our founding fathers would recognize.

Here are a lot more pictures from Digital Hairshirt. and Ringo the Gringo

Obama Over 50% In The Poll Of Tracking Polls

Here's a wrap-up of the four major national tracking polls for today. With one new day of post-VP debate data within these three-day tracking polls, Barack Obama's lead is just getting wider:

• Gallup: Obama 50%, McCain 42%, with a ±2% margin of error, compared to a 49%-42% Obama lead yesterday.

• Rasmussen: Obama 51%, McCain 45%, with a ±2% margin of error, compared to a 51%-44% Obama lead yesterday.

• Hotline/Diageo: Obama 48%, McCain 41%, with a ±3.2% margin of error, compared to a 48%-42% Obama lead yesterday.

• Research 2000: Obama 52, McCain 40%, with a ±3% margin of error, compared to a 51%-40% Obama lead yesterday.

Adding these polls together and weighting them by sample sizes, Obama is ahead 50.4%-42.7%, even wider than his lead yesterday of 49.9%-42.5%. And more importantly, Obama is now over the 50% mark.

Looks like McInsane and his Twit of a side kick are gonna LOSE.

Hey franny, citizen joke, why don'tcha report on this?

Hello Boys and Girls,

It seems my previous hangout spot has been overrun by a frothing-at-the-mouth paranoid lunatic so I decided to hunt around for a new place and pick a few fights. Since Caribou-Barbie has apparently picked up a fan or two here, I figured this would work as well as any other place.

Now then, where to begin?

Perhaps someone could explain to me why she-with-the-nervous-eye-twitch mentioned during the debate that more government oversight was needed in the business sector and then in the next breat said that government needed to get out of the way.

MCH said...

Oh and by the way -- Hi Clif, Hi Sara

Just heard a rumour the senile mcLOSER had a stroke an is like frickin outta it, or like more outta it than usual.

MCH said...

Hadnt heard that myself, but I do know that his face was looking kind of odd during the debate and he was looking splotchier than normal.

Good thing Obama is going to win this thing because otherwise we'd be looking at President Caribou-Barbie sooner than we thought.

Freedom Fan said...

-mch

Sure. The GSEs needed more government oversight since they basically had none; they are merely extensions of the government and not covered by Sarbanes-Oxley.

Republicans like McCain fought for more GSE oversight on many occasions, but were denied by the corrupt Democrats like Obama and Dodd who had their snouts in the trough and who put their buddies like Raines in charge of doling out goodies to their constituents.

The private sector already is required by the SEC to have certified annual audits; whereas governmental agencies have no idea nor concern where the money goes. Bureaucrats' only goal is to spend it all so they can ask for still more the following year.

So as for the private sector, the government needs to stay the hell out of the way ... unless you libs really are trying to produce a repeat of 1929-39, which is entirely possible given the stated strategy of Cloward-Piven.

Personally I see no adult supervision remaining after 2008, so I am dumping all my securities on Monday. I do believe you Marxists will take over and the people shortly will discover the true meaning of the "change" they seem to desire so badly. I'm buying gold and waiting for the backlash when the folks figure out the horrible thing they've done in a couple years.

Glad I could help.

MCH said...

So what you're saying is that while they were in charge, the Republicans were being denied by the Democrats who werent in charge?

Fascinating.

Now speaking of "doling out goodies to their constituents", did you mention Senator Kit Bond (R-MO) who is one of the most notorious earmark requesters in the Seante? Or Gov Sarah Palin (R-AK) who is pretty gosh-darn-say-it-aint-so-Joe good herself at asking for earmarks? Or Randy Cunningham (R-CA) who is currently in jail for bribes in exchange for earmarks? Or Mitch McConnell (R-KY) who himself added 260 million in earmarks in the 2006 budget?

Freedom Fan said...

Yes, earmarks are pretty disgusting, but are unrelated to your original question regarding regulation.

All governors ask for federal goodies for their states and Palin is no exception. Voters would fire any governor who didn't.

But according to Mike Huckabee, Obama voted for an average of $1 million per month in earmarks during his time in the Senate before he started running for President.

In contrast, John McCain has requested ZERO earmarks, and has been a staunch crusader for smaller and more responsible government.

Glad you find me fascinating.

MCH said...

Oh, actually Im not the one who first brought up earmarks -- you did when talking about doling out the goodies. I am wondering why in making a point you're relying on a biased source such as Mike Huckabee when the official records are there for anyone to see. Wouldnt it make the point more effective if you did use such a source? Honestly, FF, if we're going to debate some issues here, Id much rather you do your job yourself without my having to help you along.

Ok, chaps, I need to get to bed. I can see we're going to have some fun over here.

thereturnofRusty said...

It looks like worf at LC kicked MCH in the backside so he or it decided to try his luck here.

The idiot wanted to discuss earmarks but obviously he had'nt taken the time to find out just who the kings of earmarks are.

Next time prior to posting get your facts correct.

Freedom Fan said...

Please review this Congressional testimony from the 2004 hearings on GSE oversight, and see if you can tell which party wanted more oversight, and which party wanted more shaky mortgages for flaky constituents.

Also, please review this article from from three years ago, and see if you can tell which party wanted more GSE oversight, and which party wanted more shaky mortgages for flaky constituents.

John McCain was a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, and warned: If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole. -JM

Obama's buddy Franklin Raines was the chairman of Fannie Mae who walked away with $90 million and left taxpayers with the "change" only a Liberal could believe in.

Your up early MCH...

BTW, just out of curiosity, are you the author?

No, I thought you were the author.

Or maybe it was Sara.

Nah, she has nicer legs than either one of us.

Yeah, I had to get the kid to school and now I have a couple of hours to kill before I go to work.

BTW, I looked it up and found out the most earmarks per capita go to Alaska ... although Ted Stevens is mostly responsible for that. For now.

The other thing I found of interest was an earmark in the banking bailout package. It seems the earmark being criticized the most is the one about making wooden arrows. As it turns out, the arrows are given to Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts as they progress up in levels ... the arrows are made more cheaply in China so the earmark is a taxcut for domestic companies making the arrows so that we will buy them here rather than from China.

Fascinating, no?

thereturnofRusty said...

The wooden arrow earmark was indeed interesting as was the one giving companies money to subsidize employees who ride their bicicyles to work or a portion of the ride.

Hadnt heard about that one but it's not necessarily a bad idea. Leads to more exercise thus hopefully being healthier so fewer healthcare costs as well as conserving gas and lessening our dependence on foreign oil.

Tax Profs Agree: Gov. Palin's Tax Returns Are Wrong

Jack Bogdanski (Lewis & Clark) & Bryan Camp (Texas Tech) have independently reviewed the tax issues raised by the release of Gov. Palin's 2006 and 2007 tax returns and financial disclosure form, as well as the remarkable opinion letter issued from Washington D.C. tax lawyer Roger M. Olsen. Jack and Bryan conclude that there are serious errors in Gov. Palin's returns as filed and that she and her husband owe tens of thousands of dollars in additional taxes.

Jack Bogdanski, There's No Debate: Palins Owe Thousands in Back Taxes:

There is no serious debate (at least, none that has been brought to our attention) about the fact that at least the amounts paid for the children's travel -- $24,728.83 in 2007, according to the Washington Post -- are taxable. The campaign's tax lawyer has got at least that much of the law, and perhaps more, wrong. ... The Palins, who had their tax returns done by HR Block, simply got it wrong. And the fact that the state payroll office got it wrong, too, doesn't erase the Palins' unpaid tax liability.

Bryan Camp, A Brief Analysis of Governor Palin's Tax Returns for 2006 and 2007:

The release of an opinion letter by attorney Roger M. Olsen dated September 30, 2008, has stirred up the pot once again about the accuracy of Sarah and Todd Palin’s 2006 and 2007 tax returns. Not only that, but Mr. Olsen’s letter raises a couple of new issues.

This paper focuses on five problems: three raised in the tax returns and two new ones raised by Mr. Olsen’s letter. Here’s a summary of the five problems and my conclusions, for those who want to cut to the chase. My analysis will follow.

1. The Palins did not report as income some $17,000 that Governor Palin’s employer (the State of Alaska) paid her as an “allowance” for her travel. Can they do that? Yes, most likely.
2. The Palins did not report as income some $43,000 that the State of Alaska paid the Governor as an “allowance” for her husband and children’s travel. Can they do that? No, most likely not.
3. The Palins deducted $9,000 on their 2007 return, claiming it was a loss from Mr. Palin’s snow machine racing activity. Can they do that? Most likely not, but more info could make the deduction o.k. If any of the above issues goes against the Palins they then risk getting hit with the section 6662 penalty for “negligence or disregard of rules or regulations.”
4. Can the Palins avoid the section 6662 negligence penalty by claiming that they reasonably relied either (a) on the W-2’s sent to them by their employer, which did not reflect either the $17,000 or the $43,000, or (b) on their tax return preparer H&R Block, or (c) on Mr. Olsen’s opinion letter dated September 30, 2008? The three reliance defenses are unlikely to succeed, but more info may make the (b) defense a good one.
5. Does Mr. Olsen have any exposure to sanctions by the IRS because of his letter? I believe Mr. Olsen’s letter probably violates 31 C.F.R. section 10.35. If so, he would be exposed to possible sanctions from the IRS Office of Professional Responsibility.

Now franny wanna debate their arguments?

BTW crusty it is the appropriate time to complain about the FACTS I posted you gutless pussy.

There. I am now officially out of the stock market except for some energy and moderate allocation funds.

Here are some factors that investors may not realize:

1) The Obama effect -- the polls show him winning and the future for economic growth under this guy is bleak. The beating that the market is taking is discounting for an Obama victory, as well as the sub-prime fiasco caused by Congress.

2) 401ks. Much of the stability in the market so far has been due to employees basically ignoring or just holding on tight to the investments in their retirement accounts. Some don't have a choice, but most do. As panic spreads, they will act to liquidate their equity holdings in favor of money market accounts.

3) Foreign economic health is closely entwined with the U.S. economy, and the foreign markets are just now starting to realize the full severity of the coming recession.

My position now is basically extreme defensive. This is unusual for me because as an optimistic long term investor, I successfully have weathered many stock market downturns with a hold strategy.

But circumstances today are the exact opposite of what we had in 1994 when Republicans took over Congress led by Newt and his Contract For America, which ushered in one of the most prosperous bull markets in U.S. history.

Today we have only the prospect of deep recession, higher taxes, increased government regulation, government takeover of key industries such as finance and health care, out-of-control government spending resulting in a weak dollar and inflation.

Even if McCain is elected the economy would be in for a bumpy ride. With a U.S. economy run by the team of a Liberal Congress and a Marxist Obama, we are truly toast; their attempts to fix the problem will only worsen it.

My contempt for Congress became complete when they chose to slather on more pork to a bill designed to reassure and stabilize the financial community.

I must admit to feeling a little nausea. Still I am optimistic for the long term, but I need to see some light at the end of the tunnel before looking around again. I fear we are in for a recession of unusual length and severity.

I say the DOW hovers around 10,000 until at least next year this time, mainly because of the Obamanation.

I won't bother to bet you, since you would just welch anyway.
